What is grey water?

Grey water is water that drains from your shower, bath, hand basin and washing machine. It does not include waste water from the toilet and kitchen – this is highly contaminated and is called black water.

Untreated grey water contains detergents, soaps, oil, dirt and a host of other contaminants. If untreated grey water is stored or forms pools the high bacteria content multiplies causing bad smells and posing a health risk.  Water that is diverted directly from the home without any conditioning or treatment can degrade the fertility of your soil and damage your plants.

At Perpetual Water we believe in use of water that is “Fit for purpose”.  We have developed two products for use in the home;

The Perpetual Water – Home® which treats all household grey water to produce Class A water for use in the home and garden and

The GardenAngel by Perpetual Water which conditions laundry grey water to produce garden-ready water for subsurface irrigation of your garden – it won’t damage your precious plants, lawn or trees.

Did You Know

Water for longer but less often

Watering a level garden for longer, but less often, promotes deeper roots and hardier, healthier, drought tolerant plants.

Remember to only use a hand-held hose or watering can or install drip irrigation.

(About 12 millimetres of water an hour is enough for most sessions.)
